The sequence also refines ankle and knee alignment, improving confidence and technique. By the end, the legs are warm and responsive, perfectly primed for more explosive work.

Lower into a full squat, hold at the bottom for three pulses, then rise up with control.
Coach: “Push through your heels and control your breathing—strong and steady.” -
Step one foot back, keeping the board centered and torso upright. Alternate sides with fluid tempo.
Coach: “Keep front knee over ankle—don’t let the board twist.” -
Step to the right into a side lunge, push back to center, repeat left, then hold a center pulse.
Coach: “Sink the hips back, control the push-off, and keep the board calm.” -
Hold a half-squat or lunge position, feeling tension through legs and core.
Coach: “Lock your focus forward—find your balance point.”
